Great air out put with 2 outlets. Mine arrived broken with one of the 2 air adjustment knobs busted. Too bad they make everything out of plastic because otherwise this product would have been fantastic. The seller made it right by refunding my total purchase and ship price and also kust had me email him a pic of the damage so he could file a claim and let me keep the item. Knowing this was a great little air pump I contacted Penn Plax and I can not tell you how wonderful they are. Just one email asking if I could purchase a replacement for the broken part and I received an immediate reply asking for my address and they sent me a whole new air pump. I am now sold on Penn Plax because of their outstanding customer service. You can't find that very often and I want to spread the word that Penn Plax really cares about their customers...They make it right even when they don't have to.

This review is from: Visi Stealth 100W Submersible Heater For Aquariums - 25 Watts - 8 Gallons (Misc.)

I had a problem remembering to unplug the heaters when I did water changes on our tanks (9+ tanks) so the heaters would burst, and when I tore down a tank and sterilized everything, I'd sometimes break the heaters accidentally. Then when the Stealths had just come out, I tried one and it was a miracle. So I replaced all our heaters with these Stealths. I can leave them plugged while doing water changes, don't have to remember to plug them back in afterwards either, if gently banged during cleanings they don't crack or break so I don't have to clean up glass shards. They keep a steady reliable temp, adjustable thermostat. The one problem I have had repeatedly on almost all the heaters is that the suction cups don't stay stuck to the sides (our tanks are acrylic). I highly recommend these to everyone always (and now Amazon sells them too).

I bought this heater for an Eclipse System Three (also manufactured by Marineland). When mounted in the area provided for it in the Eclipse, which is directly beside the filter, the aluminum cylinder in the heater sometimes interacts with the filter motor and causes the filter impeller to spin irregularly, which produces a LOUD vibrational noise. This happens seemingly at random and lasts for around a minute or more.

In order to avoid it, I had to mount the heater on the left pane of the aquarium, where it is somewhat more conspicuous than in the back, putting some distance between it and the filter motor.

Otherwise I am quite satisfied with it, I have the temperature set at 88F for fishless cycling and I haven't noticed it fluctuate more than a degree. Just be aware that if you buy this for an Eclipse System Three, you'll probably end up having to mount it elsewhere than the "natural" spot.

We bought this stand because the photo showed that it had two crossbars in the back, which most stands I'd seen didn't have. Since a fishtank full of water is quite heavy I thought this was important. It came unassembled but was very easy and quick to put together. I would not hesitate to buy another stand like this if I needed it.

This stand looks like a great deal, BUT before I even got water in the tank, it was wobbly. There is not enough support to keep this stand from wanting to twist and collapse. Further research confirmed that the lack of stability is why these stands are not available in stores anymore. I wouldn't even recommend it for any other use.

I'm giving the tank 5 stars because the tank is great. I'd give the transaction with Petco ZERO stars though. The problem is with THIS Petco listing for the tank. Item description says it included a 2.5 gallon tank, I recieved a 1 gallon tank.

I contacted Petco, they blamed Amazon for "incorrect listing details" and only offered to give me my money back, not honor the actual item I bought!!! I bought a 2.5 gallon tank, not a 1 gallon tank, so how is refunding me for it doing me any good? I will just have to go buy another 2.5 gallon tank from another seller and will pay the regular price instead of what this listing says.

So, then I called Amazon. They informed me that they have no control over seller listings, that each and every seller lists their own products!!! So, Petco lied to me and was really of no help at all. I'm keeping the tank because it's nice and I need a tank. Amazon was amazing and actually gave me a credit to use towards my next Amazon order. I will probably end up ordering the bigger tank, but I'm dissappointed in Petco and how they chose to handle this.

Amazon rocks, and they really went above what they had to do to keep a customer happy! Amazon, thank you so much!

Buyer beware--- Petco really dropped the ball here, they could have just sent me the right tank and changed their listing to reflect what they ship you. Problem solved! But they choose to take the greedy route, I will not be shopping with them on here again.

This review is from: Aqueon 5 Gallon Mini Bow Aquarium Kit - Blue (Misc.)

I bought this tank to be used as a segregation tank for my new or ill fish.

I have a 45 gallon tank that houses freshwater fish. When I buy new fish, I like to segregate them and treat them automatically for illness before I put them in with my other fish. I have learned the hard way, that it is much easier to do this than treat my large tank and all the fish when just one is ill.

It has everything I wanted, (filter, light, and small size), except I did want a heater as well. (Better for treating ill fish. Truthfully, I don't know any kits that actually include the heater...) I had a small heater left over from a previous tank and use that. Otherwise, I would have bought one that actually fits the Mini Bow. It's size makes it very easy to clean. I don't keep my fish in there long term, but for my purposes...it is GREAT!

It is a perfect starter tank for kids, too. They can try the whole fish thing without overcommitting to a bigger tank that an adult would HAVE to clean for safety sake.

THE FILTERS CAN BE ORDERED on [...]. My local fish store and our petsmart also only carry the medium and larger filters. My local store is trying to supply the small ones, but for now, I am fine ordering them online.

Great aquarium heater at a great price! Maintains constant temp very well. I will never buy another breakable glass heater - this one will not shatter.

One of the best heaters i have worked with. Put in a 55Gallon tank and it keeps the temperature at a steady 80 degrees all day long. It also has the ability to change the temperature lower or higher with a shut off switch. Finnaly the automatic turn off feature when it is above water is a life saver for water changes!

This review is from: Mag Float-125 Magnetic Cleaner for Glass - Medium - up to 125 Gallon (Misc.)

As a kid I used a two-foot long scrub stick to clean my ten-gallon aquarium, most of the time scaring the fish while dragging decorations that got stuck to it, and the usual trail of water dripping as I took it out to wash and put away. So I clearly intrigued when first saw this product.

The floating magnet is a two part gadget that uses magnets to keep a "handle" piece attached on the outside of the aquarium as the "scrub" piece is on the inside part of the glass--sliding the handle back-and-forth scrubs the sediment. Separating the pieces leaves the scrub part floating. The surface of the pieces is smooth so that it does not pull things or damage plants and fish.

I really like when a product meets expectations, working exactly as advertised, and this is it.

There is, however, something to note and the reason why I do not consider it perfect. The color is light-gray, and since it sits inside the aquarium, it does not blend well. This is strickly a matter of taste, but worth mentioning.

Overall, a great product, and a permanent addition in my shopping list when setting up an aquarium.
